ImplementationThe Lives and Livelihoods Fund is promoting sustainable livestock development in Sahel region of West Africa by improving the pastoralists production and marketing systems, the incomes and livelihoods of their families, and building resiliency to climate change.
The project aims at sustainably increasing the productivity and competitiveness of livestock products through improving the milk and small ruminant meat value chains, to increase added value of animal products and to create jobs for youth and women.
The project will have vital contribution in alleviating poverty and reducing economic disparities in rural communities.
Enabling people to lead better lives
We believe the most effective way to create an impact is to empower countries to do so themselves. We help break down the barriers that prevent individuals, organizations and governments in the lowest income countries from obtaining the resources they need to accomplish this goal.
