After three years that have seen the worst pandemic in a century, ever more frequent and intense climate-related disasters, and war in mainland Europe, global development is, arguably, in a challenging position. While, for some, the lack of development finance is a primary obstacle to achieving humanity’s global goals, for others it is about more than the simple provision of funds. It involves the building of international partnerships between governments, financial institutions and private donors and a nuanced grassroots approach to delivering finance to projects on the ground.
